The Sequel

The second one, I’m growing fond of this style…

The jameson misfits

One Friday last April

Just because I love this photo. And because it’s now everyone’s favourite wallpaper :)

One Friday in April

A drive through the fog

I had the laziest of lazy Friday’s yesterday. Lectures kinda blended into one another and in no time, the “academic” day had finished. I found Ariane, then I found Ann, then we found Tina, Sarah, Micah and Keke – so it was discoveries all round. Ann and I just sat on Jammie for about two hours doing nothing and it was a spectacular display of nothingness. We had the occasional visitor, who would tell us cool (and one which was particularly romantic) stories, but really, we just did what we do best and that was lie about and look pretty.

Ariane eventually came back from her “quick” trip into the library, lasting a glorious two hours and she had made a discovery of her own as well, which was like 12 books and Zoe. We tried “very” hard to persuade Zoe to go to her tutorial, but alas, we failed – so we did the next best thing and landed up at Forries. Some drinks and chips later, the plan for the night was formed and Ariane was going to have her girls’ night with Zo and Kate; while I was going to tag along with Ann, who was going carbo-loading with Rouen, Dinika and Lerato in Camps Bay.

So after many communication breakdowns centred around Annie’s bag, whose car we were taking, where Ariane was, we finally embarked on our drive to Primi’s. We drove amongst the clouds as town had been covered by a beautiful thick layer of cloud and weaving in and out of the fog was quite fun actually. Seeing as Ariane wasn’t there, we – almost inevitably – got lost on the way. But luckily my “brilliant” sense of direction and some help (very very minor help) from the GPS got us on track. That is until we discovered that we didn’t actually know where the Primi’s was. So after some back and forth driving, a phone call to Rouen, and a friendly security guard, we finally found our way there.

The supper was great, though the service was perhaps slightly below par; but it was good fun still. The compass of Camps Bay directed us to Sinnfull and there was just absolutely nothing we could do about it…

And so, 15 scoops of ice cream later…

We found our way back to the car, and went on a really stunning drive along the coast, through the fog to Ann’s house. It was just as if all the noises in the world disappeared, all the lights were gone and it was just cloud and a never-ending road.
